Configuration for children

The Opus 2 is a behind-the-ear (BTE) device with a BTE processor, a battery-compartment and a coil with magnet. Available in various colours (click here for colour palette).

The battery-compartment contains 1 rechargeable battery with 16 hours autonomy or 3 disposable batteries (675 Extra of 675 C) with 5 days autonomy. A smaller compartment (XS) is available for 2 disposable batteries and 3-4 days autonomy.

Children can wear the battery on the body.  Only the tiny processor itself remains on the ear.  This configuration requires the following parts...

"Child Battery Pack"
This body-worn battery pack can contain 3 disposable batteries and is connected to the BTE processor by means of a long cable.  The 27 cm cable cannot be removed !

"Mini Battery Pack"
This body-worn battery pack is connected to the BTE processor by means of a long cable.  The cable is included.  The battery pack  fits one opus 2 rechargeable battery (DaCapo) or one AAA rechargeable battery.

"Connecting Pc for safety lock"

This pin secures the cable to the BTE processor.  It is recommended to use the long pin, which fits the safety lock.  Set of 2.

With this safety lock in place, children cannot remove the cable from the BTE processor.  Requires the long armpit pin.  Set of 2.
